Austin’s Best Spots to Celebrate Easter and Passover

The scoop on egg hunts, spring-inspired meals and more family-friendly experiences to enjoy the spring season

Spring has sprung! Easter and Passover are right around the corner, and many Austin restaurants and hotels are offering specialized experiences for locals to partake in with loved ones.

Commodore Perry Estate and Lutie’s Easter Sunday Experience

Commodore Perry Estate’s Easter events are a perfect opportunity to explore the gorgeous grounds at the hotel before heading to their signature restaurant for brunch on Sunday, April 9. Festivities include an egg hunt on the sprawling lawn and a petting zoo with baby pigs, bunnies and pygmy goats. Later, enjoy a luxurious brunch with a mimosa bar, arts and crafts tables and more at Lutie’s. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 512-817-5200.

 

L’Oca d’Oro Passover Seders

Mueller’s Italian hotspot L’Oca d’Oro will host their annual Seders for people of all backgrounds and faiths in honor of Passover again this year. Held at 6 p.m. April 10 and 11, these dinners are hosted in collaboration with Congregations Beth Israel and Agudas Achim and led by Cantor Sarah Avner and Rabbi Neil Blumofe. Chef Fiore Tedesco will serve his takes on pastrami-style brisket, matzo ball soup and more. Make a reservation here.

Little Ola’s Biscuits Easter Biscuit Packs

Bring home some of the best biscuits in town with Little Ola’s Biscuits’ Easter biscuit packs. Both packs come with six biscuits, homemade honey butter, strawberry jam and pimento cheese, while the larger pack will also include an Apple Kentucky Butter Cake and a choice of one 32 oz. housemade beverage. Packs are available for pick-up at Little Ola’s brick-and-mortar in Wells Branch from April 7 to 9. Pick-ups can also be made at Olamaie only on April 9.

 

Easter Extravaganza at Littlefield’s

Littlefield’s Tacos and Coffee is getting the party started a little early with their Easter Extravaganza from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 6. The Tarrytown outdoor space features Fleet Coffee and Veracruz All Natural. Children are invited to enjoy a craft and egg hunt from Find Your Sunshine, photos with the Easter Bunny from Epic Entertainment, a petting zoo and treats from SnoRide. Tickets are $35 per child.

Aba Easter Special and Passover Specials

Spend Easter on the stunning Aba patio while relishing in classic brunch menu items, along with the Easter special, the Spring Frittata with lump crab, English peas, shaved asparagus, avocado, pickled fresno chiles and parmesan. Also available at Aba is a special Passover to-go menu from Chef CJ Jacobson, which features latkes, hummus with matzo crackers and crudité, short rib and much more. Easter Brunch at Ciclo

The Four Seasons Hotel Austin’s Ciclo serves cuisine inspired by local ingredients with a Latin influence. Their Easter Brunch will be held both in the restaurant and in the hotel’s Lake-Level Ballroom on Easter Sunday, with a wide variety of breakfast favorites, an amazing carving station and so many decadent desserts. Fareground is hosting their annual Easter-Eggstravaganza with an egg hunt, brunch specials, face painting and sweets treats. Held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, specific age groups will get their own time to hunt eggs, making this a perfect opportunity for families to get out and celebrate the holiday. Summer House on Music Lane’s Easter Brunch

Hotel Magdalena’s Summer House on Music Lane has a three-course menu on tap this April, with reservations now open. The decadent meal will include assorted pastries and Crispy Fingerling Potatoes for the table, plus your choice of a second course and third course from a selection of amazing brunch options. Easter at Tillie’s

Drive out to Dripping Springs for a spring meal at Tillie’s. The gorgeous building is home to an amazing ambience and innovative internationally-inspired food. The special pre-fixe, three-course menu that will be served on Easter was crafted by Executive Chef Andy Knudson. Offerings include Scottish Salmon, Roasted Leg of Lamb, Strawberry Shortcake and more spring-forward items. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.

 

Easy Tiger

Who wouldn’t want to find Easy Tiger bread and pastries in their Easter basket?! On top of classics like hot cross buns and butter cookies, Head Doughpuncher David Norman will also be baking his Ukrainian Paska Bread, with $3 from every loaf going to Help UKRAINE 22. Online ordering is now open for the specialty treats, and select items are available at all Easy Tiger locations, which will also be serving a savory vol au vent special on Easter Sunday.

With face painting, an Easter egg hunt and an incredible buffet at Stagecoach Restaurant, Shady Villa Hotel has you covered for the holiday weekend. The William Chris Vineyards event is perfect for adults and children alike. Children are invited to take part in egg coloring, an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny and the iconic egg roll for just $5.
